After 18.5 nps, almost every performance is somehow cheated. Triggering ain't that much of a cheat, since the sound would be a bloody mess without, but double strokes etc. seem to be the only way to go.
UNLESS you are Hannes Grossman or George Kollias. They pretty much only use triggering for productional purposes and have demonstrated their ability of single untriggered single-strokes on their vids. Also, I'm pretty sure that Romain Goulon, Fotis, Inferno, Vyl, Kevin Foley and Daray could do something similar, though I have no definite proof.

On Hellhammer I must say that he's a complete cheater, but that just makes him great; on every aspect on his playing he is always coming up with techniques to ease his playing. Composition-wise he's a great guy, but TRVV KVLT DABBLÖ BÄZZ METVL-wise not that much.

Just saw that Mauro Mercurio has vids of himself playing 20.5 nps at Youtube. Worth mentioning.

I'm surprised there's no Anaal Nathrakh in there.

^it's a machine, and I doubt the live version is just as fast.

Kinda surprised no Tim Yeung (Divine Heresy) or Trey Williams (Dying Fetus). Should also look into Jordan Varela (Lust of Decay) and Davide "Brutal Dave" Billia (Putridity).

Anaal Nathrakh use blastbeats primarily, which use a snare/high-hat/bass drum combination, meaning there won't be any ridiculous speed double bass.... usually

What about Vemodets Arkitektur by Shining (Sweden)? I think it's Hellhammer on that album. Fast as fuck, but most impressive because the double kick parts last for minutes at a time. Not sure if they ever played the song live though...

Anaal Nathrakh is, as said, mostly blast beats not that much of straight 16th's on pedals, but I'll see if I find something. Still, it's 250 bpm (16.666 nps) at max, so no top 10 there. And, if I have understood correctly, it is as stated, a machine. Yes, they have drummer live who can play those parts (they are not tricky at all), but this list must have some sort of standarts, so that not every machine-made joke applies.

I know I sound like a George Kollias fanboy, but a lot of these drummers are not a credible as GK. He has quite a few DVDs all about double bass drumming and his Youtube page is full of live videos and studio videos. Just my two cents, but I do like this list though.

Correct. I did not even listen it that closely. When I saw it on top like 5 top-speed videos, I assumed it to be 32th's. Thanks man.

On your other remark, Paoli is all double strokes and the session drummer for Fleshgod used to be the ex-drummer for Hour of Penance; Mauro Mercurio. He (Marco), however, has a video of himself playing 320 on youtube, and, naturally, I can't find it.
I, myself, have faith in Kitcher, and the others as well. I have done a list like this, so you could guess that a thing like is close to my heart, and that would be right. Being a drummer myself, I can play clearly on my double-pedal on a single triggered bass drum so that the trigger is able register each note at 290 bmp. After that I run into problems.
That being said, my setup is much less professional than the guys' on my list, so 300bpm on two bass-drums does not seem impossible at all. I'm actually surprised, why the are so few songs at those speeds.

Now Christian Giusto he's the fastest drummer in list with 310bpm real drumming, here's the video and he don't use quadruple crap pedals or other fake drumming systems.

You should probably check out Delusional Parasitosis, a friend of mine plays drums for them and they have parts up to 26nps double bass. He plays standard heel-toe technique and is capable up to 30 nps. Standard double pedal guy, but completely insane.

Would you mind linking a song for me that you think is that fast? 'Cause all I can find is sub-270 tempo. Even then, he uses gravity blast and those 4-beaters to achieve a speed that EVEN I can do without cheats like that. I was kinda disappointed, please prove me wrong.
I really can't see why being the first one using quads would be a merit if you are slower than guys with only 2.

My bad, probably nowhere. I just copied the No Solution row and changed the title and speed, but left that by accident. I had also hit "2" instead of "1" so the speed was way off. It's 18.666, not 28.666, jesus.

Take Tim Yeung or Adam Jarvis, for example. They hit every single hit with full force, lifting their feet and the speed comes mostly from the rebound with which the drumhead send the beater back, which they then again push back. That's the "proper" old-school technique, which does not in any way rely on triggers. Dave Lombardo is a fine example, too. The triggering-dickery way is tightening the springs of the pedal itself to absolute maximum, and pushing against them constantly and so controlling the hits by actually lifting your feet, not pushing the pedals down. Here's a video for demonstration https://youtu.be/EDJXH_EHke8?t=419.
While it is quite legit, the force needed for movement and therefore reaching the drumhead is severely lesser, and using triggers becomes much more useful for the sake of just hearing the bassdrum. Aaron Kitcher and Hellhammer use this technique.

The third method on two pedals is heel-toeing in a way that you actually get 2 hits with one leg movement, but the as the speed rises above 260 there it pretty much impossible to make the hits strong enough to have any use if you are not equipped with triggers. John Longstreth and Christian Giusto are the most obvious examples, and Dave Graw also uses it live. What I'm trying to say is that the bullshit about "triggers don't make you faster" is, well, bullshit. If the amount of force you need to hit the beater is reduced, of course you can play faster. It's basic physics, P=Fv.
