I usually don't write negative comments (with a few exceptions) so I'll just say which ones I like instead. Opeth, Mercyful Fate and especially Death shouldn't be on this list imo. All classic album covers. I also like Slayer's Diabolus In Musica but my favourite one, without joking, is Riot's Narita cover because I think that baby seal head sumo with a giant axe is awesome in a so bad it's good kinda way. The album is awesome too.

Opeth : It is a great record, it deserves something better
Mercyful fate : Funny cover doesn’t compare to the future releases
Slayer : weird guy in white mask a la Mexican wrestler
Riot : Great record doesn’t mean great artwork

Also Christ illusion has got a rather awful cover IMO.

Not the worst, the artwork does look kind of cheap though. I just remembered a horrible album art cover because I joked about it being album cover of the year of 2007. The band is called Paracoccidioidomicosisproctitissarcomucosis and the album is called Aromatica Germenexcitación En Orgías De Viscosa Y Amarga Putrefación. With both a band name and album name like that I'm not surprised it has an album cover like that. lol
