Evereve's first two albums are must listen, especially Seasons.

I also enjoy Dreadful Shadows. Again, first two albums are must listens.

Nice to see many of these 90s albums that I like quite a lot.
Anathema's Eternity is such a wonderful album, I have fallen in love with it back at its release.
Still adore it a lot, though I dont come back to it often nowadays.

To my understanding, many of the albums you listed are not really gothic metal (Anathema, Tiamat, The 3rd and the Mortal,...), but hey, I have never been a genre nerd (plus I am really not particularly clear about the borderlines either, and here we are probably close to borderline territory).

I can understand the 3rd and the Mortal not being gothic metal considering the instrumentation of the first album. As for Anathema, I say they're gothic because both alternative 4, and eternity showed elements that came from Gothic rock such as keyboards, lyrics are pretty melodramatic and gloomy to me, Vincent's vocal apporach and Duncan Patterson's chorus effect bass playing. Even without the chorus, Duncan has some unique bass lines that again sounds similar to a few gothic rock bands. I respect your opinion though, they do get overlooked as doom or death-doom or other but it's definitely good to hear another person's input.

Some great albums listed here, I must check a load of the one's I've yet to listen to out, as I suspect there's a lot I'll like, then add them to my gothic/doom collection.
