I do my best to feel confident about my top 10, After that 11-100 are just alphabetical.

Ayreon - The Theory Of Everything
It's insanely progressive, it casts singers of every range and gender, and follows a beautiful story arc encompassed in Arjen's traditional Science Fiction and Folk sound

2.
Iron Maiden - Brave New World
Maybe its' heretical, but modern Maiden is by far my favorite. Brave New World displays excellent musicianship as well as excellent lyricism. Flawlessly executed

3.
Evergrey - The Inner Circle
Perhaps the most bleak and oppressive album, the concept and story combined with amazing production and Tom's pained vocals and lyrics are truly a dark beauty to behold.

Obscure Sphinx - Void Mother
Spastic, random, chaotic, yet well thought out. Dark, vague atmospheres hover above you as bipolar music varies from crushing you to lulling you to sleep.

Nevermore - This Godless Endeavor
A riff-machine, brutal and unrelenting. Warrel is at his best here vocally and lyrically, simply a triumph of Modern Metal in ever facet.

Nightwish - Wishmaster
A classic, the melancholy and beauty of this album is so unique and Tarja's amazing voice will bring tears to your eyes.

Epica - The Divine Conspiracy
A bombastic album full of destructive riffs, soaring vocals from Simone and pummeling growls from Mark. Some extreme nostalgia will forever be in here for me.

Blind Guardian - A Night At The Opera
The most uniquely produced album...Maybe ever for me. It's so colorful, and every member is firing on all cylinders. 1000 layers meshed into perfection.

Sybreed - God Is An Automaton
Dark, heavy, and smart. The last album by Industrial sci-fi Titans Sybreed is their best and most concentrated effort. Nary a single song is weak.

An excellent balance of Progressive, Death, and even Black tendencies. Superbly written with a great concept behind Mikael's writing

Nice mix of albums here. Many of them I, too, am fond of. The descriptions are neat, so it'd be interesting to read after you're done with all of them.

Honestly, If I were to allow repetition of bands it would be like 10 bands and that's it haha
