Sorry, but I think I cannot give this list a thumbs up, for it has Paradise Lost/Katatonia wannabees at two and eight, ffs. And Bloody Kisses doom? I would say gothic, but I can understand the choice for that and it is a totally awesome album.

The list has some great albums on it, but, unfortunately loads and loads of undeserving ones as well. Kypck? ffs. Rememberance? Huh? I could go on but won't.

You know what, a thumbs up from me ads encouragement and that you're a bit on the right track. But pull your socks up or I'll have to fail you at the end of the year.

Well, to be honest, the reason for that is because I haven't actually listened to Epicus Doomicus Metallicus yet (although I recognize of course what a problem this is).

Faemin is not doom. Good album, though.

Erosion is where it's at with Process Of Guilt, adn that one is one hell of an awesome doom album.

I know you enjoy a lot of power metal but that doesn't do it.

I'd go for a maximum of 2 (or even 1) albums/band approach though. And you haven't heard Candlemass debut? I'd get to that ASAP if I were you, then. It's easily their best album.

Anyway, definitely a nice list. But it could be improved upon quite a bit too, in my opinion.

That Station Dysthymia album is some of the best funeral doom I've heard in recent years, can't wait for a new album from them

It worked out to be one-to-two albums for just about every band anyway, maybe three at a stretch; I think Black Sabbath was the only one with four, and I think I could safely label that a special case. The main impetus for this list was to catalogue all the bands I'd only heard one or two albums from and was likely to forget about without some proper record-keeping, and I just threw in my favorites for the sake of completion; it's likely to stay that way.

I did actually mean to listen to some more Candlemass before I made the list purely because it was such a big omission and was likely to be the first thing any chance observer noticed, but ultimately I didn't have the time and just wanted to go ahead and make it. Once the Awards are done and I've cleared out a few more reviews, though, they're high up on the list of future listening projects.

You need to listen to Esoteric. And I need to listen to basically all of these.

Pretty good list. Can't see Esoteric as promised above Also, no Shape of Despair. But anyway, very handy list.

You still must listen to and add Esoteric. But this is an great list, nice to see Paranoid and Watching From A Distance up top.

SSUS probably has the most diversed taste here on MS, the blend of dwarf SS-Panzer-Division Wiking metal and this excellent doom list is quite fascinating And I just love to see Four Phantoms get the treatment it deserves.
