So you're seeking some good ol' (or new) Thrash Metal and you don't know where to look? Recommendations are running low and you're tired of wandering forums aimlessly, only to find one or two albums that you've probably already heard of?...If so, my friend, then stop searching and welcome to my little sanctuary. Nowadays, most would say that I'm a complete Thrash addict, always in need of his fix, and they would be right. In order to keep my addiction under control and share it with all of you Thrash Metal maniacs, I've created this monstrous list. You may use my precious creation as an ''Encyclopedia'' of sort, in which I stored what I consider to be the best Thrash releases of all time. From the acclaimed classics like *Exodus - Bonded By Blood* and *Kreator - Pleasure To Kill* to the more hidden jewels like *Believers - Extraction From Mortality* and *Anacrusis - Suffering Hour* or even more recent gems like *Exmortus - Necrophony* and *Vektor - Terminal Redux*, I've got it all. I know it might look exhausting & exhaustive but that's the best way to keep the addiction under control. ----------------------------------- - Browsing My List - A How To Guide - 1. First of all, albums are ordered by years of release so if you don't like modern thrash metal, keep to the 80's and 90's, there's more than enough stuff to satisfy your needs. 2. Also, I've added every single album's thrash style. So if you like Death, Crossover, Prog, Melodic, Tech, Power, Black, Grind and even Groove Thrash.. it's all there suit yourself. 3. Lastly, albums with a ''★'' after the genre's description represents albums that I.. Myself.. Moi consider as being classics of the genre or something you shouldn't miss, no I am not the all mighty reference guru in Thrash Metal, yes I do know a lot and yes it is possible for you to disagree with me on that matter. So please don't go writing stuff like "Whaa.. Dude.. No star on X or Y album?". Also 🇨🇦 = From Canada, My Country!!! And personally I loved the last havok I think people kinda had their hopes a bit too high cuz of ''Time Is Up''  Also there are so many albums O.o can't listen to all ofthem yet. Give me some time man.

Have you heard of Nekromantheon? I definitely recommend you listen to them if you haven't. They're a Norwegian thrash band, and their album Rise Vulcan Spectre is pretty rad. I would say they're leaning more towards the teutonic side of things.

Written by [user id=101272] on 22.01.2014 at 21:14 Conjure And Command came out in 2011 you probably meant Chemistry Of Consciousness I bought it, haven't listened to it yet since I got too many shits to do and too many albums on my hand lol But I will right about now. For Serpent's Unleashed I was planning to put it in the list aswell Just didn't have the time to do it yet, I'll work on that at this very moment. For Onslaught and Death Angel I haven't listened to their albums yet, I'm not too fond of more recent Death Angel But who knows, maybe it'll be good I'll give it a spin. EDIT: BTW I love Power Trip's album, Manifest Decimation. Very good.

If it would be meant to be a guide, it would be shorter trust me Its more for people who already know and love thrash... to basically pick an album they don't know (a good one indeed) and try it out.

It seems to be a very busy year for me so far Ok so I listened to the bands and I definitely like Kryptor's Time 4 Crime a lot. So I'm just gonna add it to the list Even though I understand absolutely nothing of the lyrics, it still kicks ass musically speaking. Thanks a lot for that Dr. Monique. And Daggon, thanks a lot for the comment I appreciate that brother ! Oh also, I will add Prong's album *Ruining Lives* Because I bought it couple days ago, and I seriously love the vibe on it... not disappointing at all.

Ok so I'll start with today's disappointments, then will finish with the good points for 2014 so far. 1. Mekong Delta's *In A Mirror Darkly* : Definitely not a bad album, but not worthy of my list, I must admit I'm not that fond of Prog though... but eh. Sorry Mekong, not this year2. Helstar's *This Wicked Nest* : Yuk... Disappointing is a poor word to describe how I disliked it, sure it's Speed/Power Thrash, but very uninspired. You gotta do better than that Helstar. 3. Tryptykon's *Melana Chasmata* : Seriously guys ? I mean it ain't bad but you gotta show me what I missed there, because it's nothing impressive. How did it manage to get 8.3 ? 4. Savage Messiah's *The Fateful Dark* : A freaking joke once again in the vibe of Helstar, it plain suck... generic as hell. I'm unimpressed. 5. Killer Be Killed's *Killer Be Killed* : .. This groove is boring to the core, nothing special, reused Pantera's vibe and with a serious lack of skill. ... Ok I could go on forever with the disappointments this year *SO FAR* ... but I won't so I'll go with the positive note, before I punch my sound system. 1. Holy Moses *Redefined Mayhem* : I was happily surprised ! The first two were ok but it's when Undead Dogs kicks in that you get into this album, very refreshing especially coming from a band of Veteran. Lyrics are lacking a bit but the vibe is there that is for sure. Added! I recommend you guys listen to this ASAP. 2. Prong *Ruining Lives* : As I mentioned earlier, this album got me hooked (Yeah go on telling me it's industrial I wanna see you do it c'mon) So very good Groove/Crossover Thrash I loved it from the first note of Turnover t'ill the last note (excluding Retreat) of Limitations and Validations. Highlights: Turnover, Windows Shut, Remove Separate Self, Chamber of Thought, Limitations and Validations. I know it's not your standard thrash that I usually put in here but hey, good job Prong for still being up there after so many years. 3. Suicidal Angels *Divide And Conquer* : I did not expect to like this album, but you know what, it's very good ! Seems like the Revivalists are not completely running out of ideas, thanks to Suicidal. Added. 4. Heavy Justice *Apocalyze* : (Yes I know this album is from 2013 but I just discovered it) A very nice blend of Speed/Heavy and Thrash Metal, this band from California seriously kicks ass. I was a bit creeped out by the intro of the album, but when the first song started, I knew I would love it and I did, the groove makes me smile the riffs are tight and well executed I was baffled. I recommend to those who missed this in 2013 like I did. Coup De Coeur: Iron Hand

There's both groove and crossover in there, industrial to me is a pure shit label considering that it comes directly FROM THRASH, HARDCORE PUNK and some Dance elements lol but yeah definitely nothing crossover there..(Crossover: Thrash + Hardcore Punk) but w/e, and there's definitely no GROOVE influence in Windows Shut and Ruining Lives -_- not an ounce. (Also *points to the little label thats beside the genre in the list....* was there before you posted, but I guess reading is too much effort sometimes). Second, I'm not fond of Prog-Thrash that much and YES I'd spin Suicidal Angels - Divide and Conquer 10 times before In A Mirror Darkly, I didn't say it was a bad album but I had quite a struggle goin' through 2 spins of it, it just doesn't make it for me sorry Lit. That's my opinion. Thanks for the feedback nonetheless. Oh and I'll check your recommendations, but I didn't *ADD JUST TO ADD* I loved all 4 albums that I added to your disappointment it seems. and Deadone I'll sure check out Nocturnal - Storming Evil

The latest Prong album is totally industrial thrash. Not Beg To Differ and Prove You Wrong btw which is just thrash with a bit of groove maybe and only very early Prong is crossover thrash (Force fed and Primitive Origins) but after Prove You Wrong the band started incorporating industrial in their music and did away with the groove and crossover sound.
