I'll be sure to give that another listen soon - I remember 'The Heaviest Matter Of The Universe and 'Flying Whales' being particularly good.

Removed Kamelot - The Black Halo. I listened to it again today and gained a new-found appreciation for it. I'll be adding it to my top 500 albums list soon.

Forever Autumn is starting to grow on me so it may well turn into a 9 at some point. A Sombre Dance I haven't heard in a while so I'll give it a relisten soon!

How is Marillion - Script For A Jester's Tear overrated?! The album proved prog was not dead, revived it for a while (along with bands like IQ, Twelfth Night, Pallas and Pendragon, their style stretched all over Europe and even the US, check pout the band Iluvatar).

Threshold - Subsurface - this one hurts
Antimatter - Leaving Eden - I find this one underrated as is the band overall.
Conception - In Your Multitude - I find this band's work underrated and often overlooked.
Redemption - Snowfall On Judgment Day - one of the best progressive metal albums out there, in no way overrated
The Gathering - Nighttime Birds and Mandylion - this one hurts, too
Devin Townsend - Ocean Machine: Biomech - another progressive metal essential
Voivod - Nothingface - no
Therion - Vovin - along with Theli created symphonic metal
Deep Purple - In Rock - groundbreaking album, influential and unique when it came out
Fates Warning - Parallels -
Dream Theater - Images And Words & Awake - two extremely influential albums, I don't see how they're overrated.
Lake Of Tears - Forever Autumn - quite a unique album, in no way overrated

I actually listened to Forever Autumn yesterday, it's one of my favorite albums for the Autumn month along with Drudkh's Autumn Aurora. "So Fell Autumn Rain" has actually become one of my all time favorite gothic metal songs, but I think the whole album is beautiful.

All of these are based on my personal enjoyment of them, or my ability to 'get' them rather than cultural impact. Most of these I only really have minor gripes with (e.g. messy songwriting on Awake, not the best vocals on Nothingface, lack of variety on Parallels and Mandylion, etc). 8/10 is a great album IMO but my experience of them just wasn't excellent or a masterpiece.

I really like ‘To Blossom Blue’ on that album, but I’ll give the whole thing a relisten I think.
